Privacy Policy — PromptlyYoursShop

This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with PromptlyYoursShop on Etsy. I sell digital downloads only.

1) Data Controller

For EU/UK privacy laws, the data controller is PromptlyYoursShop (contact: Etsy Messages → Contact shop owner).

2) Information I Collect
• Order information you provide to Etsy at checkout (name, email address, billing address, purchased items).
• Messages you send me through Etsy.
• Automatic data handled by Etsy (payment info, device data, cookies). I do not receive your full payment details; Etsy processes payments.

3) Why I Use Your Information (Legal Bases)

I use your information only when necessary:
• To fulfill your order and provide support (contract).
• To comply with laws such as tax and accounting (legal obligation).
• To improve my products and prevent fraud/abuse (legitimate interests, balanced with your rights).
• Marketing (only if you explicitly opt in on Etsy; you can withdraw consent at any time).

4) Sharing of Information

I share your data only as needed to run the shop and comply with the law:
• Etsy: to process orders, payments, downloads, and communications (see Etsy’s own Privacy Policy).
• Service providers: limited use—for example, secure file storage or email service—bound by confidentiality and used only to perform services for me.
• Legal compliance: to comply with a lawful request, court order, or tax/audit requirement.

I do not sell your personal information.

5) Data Retention

I keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above:
• Order records and invoices: up to 7 years for tax and accounting.
• Etsy messages/support: up to 2 years after resolution, unless I must keep them longer for legal reasons.

6) Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, and data portability.
• EU/UK users: You may also object to legitimate-interest processing and withdraw consent at any time.
• California (CCPA): You may ask to know, delete, and correct information. I do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise a right, send me a message via Etsy with “Privacy Request,” and I’ll respond within the applicable legal timeframe.

7) International Transfers

I am located in the United States. If your data is transferred from the EU/UK to the U.S. or other countries, I rely on lawful mechanisms (e.g., Etsy’s safeguards and/or standard contractual clauses used by my service providers).

8) Security

I take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. No method is 100% secure, but I strive to use industry-standard protections and minimize the data I store.

9) Children

My shop and content are not directed to children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
